Hopes lay on Poland, Prague, Budapest
A large number of CEE-exhibitors were regions and cities from Poland: In 2012 the UEFA EURO Football Championships are going to be held in Poland (and expectedy in the Ukraine. Cities and regions therefore are hoping to profit from investments worth many billion euros, for example in the country's secondary infrastructure.
Generally though it is to say that developers are much more careful than two years ago: On the one hand many are still lacking confidence in the country's economic process, and on the other hand those willing to invest are lacking financial backing by the banks.
For cities like Prag or Budapest experts are also expecting an improvement during the next year. The regions' representatives at the EXPO REAL meanwhile reinforced the importance of being present at events like the fair, showing possible investors that they are still alive.
